Lead scoring and prioritization: focus your day on the right contacts

Use stages, tags, lead score, and Smart Lists to work your hottest contacts first every day.

You can't call everyone at once, so the win is knowing who to call first. SAMI OS gives you four signals — stage, tags, lead score, and Smart Lists — that turn a long contact list into a ranked follow-up plan.

The four signals that rank a contact

Each contact carries fields you can filter and sort on from Contacts:

  • Stage — where the contact sits in your pipeline: New Lead, Contacted, Nurturing, Showing, Under Contract, Closed, Lost, or Archived. Keep this current so your active pipeline stays clean.
  • Tags — quick labels for qualification answers and context, like pre-approved, cash, or 30-day timeline.
  • Lead score — a number that rises and falls as a contact engages. Higher means hotter.
  • Smart Lists — saved filtered views (for example, every high-score, active lead) that you can open in one click each morning.

Score, tags, and stage aren't busywork. They're the inputs that let a Smart List surface your best ten conversations instead of all two thousand contacts.

Build a "hot leads" Smart List

This is the view you'll open first thing every day. It combines stage, lead score, and tags into one focused queue.

  1. Open Contacts and add filters

    Go to Contacts and use the filter bar to start a new set of conditions.

  2. Filter by Stage

    Add the Stage filter and set it to "is any of" New Lead and Contacted. That keeps closed, lost, and archived contacts out of your working queue.

  3. Filter by Lead score

    Add the Lead score filter with "is greater than or equal to" and a threshold that fits your book — say 60. This floats engaged contacts to the top.

  4. Filter by Tags

    Add the Tags filter set to "is any of" and pick your intent tags, such as pre-approved or ready-to-tour. Combine it with Last contacted "is not in the last" a few days to catch anyone going quiet.

  5. Save it as a Smart List

    Type a name like "Hot leads — call today" in the Smart List name field and choose Save. It now lives in the Smart Lists rail on the left of Contacts, ready to reopen any time.

Share a Smart List to make it visible to your whole team, or keep it private to you. Shared lists are great for giving a team lead one common "work these first" queue.

Let SAMI Bots adjust score and tags automatically

You don't have to maintain these signals by hand. When a SAMI Bot finishes a call, you can configure per-outcome actions that update the contact for you.

  • Adjust lead score — raise the score when a caller books a tour or confirms financing, and lower it when they're not ready. Your hot leads list re-sorts itself.
  • Add a tag — drop a tag like pre-approved or not-interested based on the qualification answers SAMI captured, so your Tags filter stays accurate.

Open a bot's outcome handling in SAMI Bots and attach Adjust lead score and Add a tag to the outcomes that matter. You can also automate the same updates from Workflows. Pair this with a clean stage discipline — promote contacts as they progress and move dead leads to Lost or Archived — and your daily Smart List will always reflect reality.
