Manage team availability for SAMI call transfers
Set each teammate's call hours and transfer phone so SAMI Bots route live calls to the right people.
When a live caller asks to reach a person, SAMI Bots decide who to transfer to based on each teammate's availability. As an owner or admin, you set those rules for your whole team from one place.
Where team availability lives
Open Settings and choose the Team tab to see your team directory. Each member appears in a list you can expand, and the header shows quick counts — how many members you have, how many invites are pending, and how many are SAMI-ready for live transfers.
Every row carries an at-a-glance availability summary. You'll see Transfers on or Transfers off, plus the person's days and hours (for example, Every day, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM ET). That summary reflects exactly what SAMI Bots use when deciding where to send a call.
Editing other people's availability is for owners and admins. If you don't have access, you'll see a note to ask an owner or admin — but anyone can adjust their own hours from their Profile settings.
Edit a teammate's call availability
Expand any member to open their SAMI call availability controls, then adjust the settings below.
Open the team member
On the Team tab, click a person's row to expand it. Above availability you'll see their Access section for role and removal — scroll to SAMI call availability to set transfers.
Turn transfers on or off
Use the Available for SAMI calls toggle. When it's off, SAMI skips live transfers to this person entirely, no matter their hours.
Set the transfer phone
In Transfer phone, enter the number where SAMI should send live calls for this teammate (for example, a cell phone). This is the destination the call actually rings.
Choose a timezone and hours
Pick the member's Timezone, then set Start time and End time. The default window is 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Transfers only happen inside these hours.
Pick the days
Under Days, select every day this person takes transfers. You must choose at least one day, or the schedule can't be saved.
Save availability
Click Save availability. A Saved badge confirms the change, and the row summary updates right away.
Give each person a real Transfer phone and an accurate timezone. SAMI Bots route to whoever is marked available and within hours, so a missing number or wrong window quietly takes someone out of rotation.
How this shapes call routing
The Team tab is the org-wide view of who can take a call right now. Your SAMI Bots read these settings live: when a caller wants a person, SAMI looks at who has transfers on, falls within their hours and days, and has a transfer phone, then connects the call. You can review what actually happened — including transfer attempts — in Agent activity.
Because each member's own Profile settings and your Team-tab edits write to the same availability, the two always stay in sync. Use Profile when you're updating just yourself, and the Team tab when you're managing the whole roster at once.
