Read AI Insights and the lead score
Use the AI Insights panel and lead score on a contact record to spot hot leads and pick the next move.
Every contact record opens with an AI Insights panel that scores the lead and tells you what to do next. It reads the contact's activity for you so you can prioritize outreach without scrolling the whole timeline.
Open the AI Insights panel
The panel sits at the very top of a contact's activity column, above the timeline. Open any contact from Contacts and expand the section.
Open a contact
From Contacts, click a person to open their record.
Expand AI Insights
At the top of the activity column, click the AI Insights header to expand the panel.
Read the score and bullets
Review the lead score, the Overview bullets, and the Recommended next steps.
The AI Insights panel only appears once a contact has a score or generated insights. Brand-new contacts with no activity yet won't show it until SAMI has something to summarize.
Understand the lead score
The lead score is a heuristic fit signal for outreach priority, shown as a number from 0–100 alongside a temperature badge:
- Hot — score 70 or above. Prioritize these; the signals point to a ready, engaged lead.
- Warm — score 40–69. Worth nurturing with steady follow-up.
- Cold — below 40. Low priority right now, but keep them in your long-term cadence.
The score reflects fit and engagement signals on the record, not a guarantee. Treat it as a way to sort your day, then trust your own read of the conversation.
Use the summary and next steps
Below the score, SAMI surfaces two sets of bullets generated from the contact's activity:
- Overview — a 3–5 bullet snapshot of who the lead is, where they sit in the funnel, and the latest signal.
- Recommended next steps — 1–2 concrete actions, like sending a specific message or calling about a specific topic.
Act on a next step right from the record: log the call or message in the timeline, or hand follow-up to a SAMI Bots sequence. Deal context behind a lead lives in Pipeline.
Insights refresh automatically as activity flows in. When the panel shows an Updating soon… chip, SAMI has new activity to fold in and a fresh version is on the way. The Updated timestamp tells you how current the current version is, and the refresh button rebuilds it on demand.
If a refresh fails, the panel shows a brief "Last refresh failed — retrying" note and tries again on its own. Logging a note, text, or call adds signal that sharpens the next refresh.
