Log SAMI activity to Lofty (external CRM logging)

Connect Lofty and choose which SAMI calls, texts, notes, and tags write back to the matching lead.

Keep Lofty as your system of record while SAMI does the work. With external CRM logging, the calls, texts, notes, and tags SAMI generates are written back to the matching lead in Lofty automatically.

Connect Lofty

Connecting takes one API key. Once it's saved, SAMI starts mirroring your selected activity to Lofty.

  1. Open external CRM logging

    Head to Settings → Integrations and select the SAMI external CRM logging card.

  2. Select Lofty

    Click the Lofty tile. Its badge shows Not connected until a key is saved.

  3. Paste your Lofty API key

    In the Lofty API key field, paste the key from your Lofty account, then choose Save key. When the key is saved, the tile flips to Connected and the field shows "Connected key ending in" the last four characters.

  4. Choose what to log

    Use the toggles to turn each activity type on or off (see below). Changes save the moment you flip a switch.

SAMI never changes which CRM your team works in. Lofty stays your source of truth — this integration only adds SAMI's activity to the lead that already exists there.

Choose what writes back to Lofty

Each toggle controls one type of SAMI activity. By default all five are on. Flip any of them off to keep that activity inside SAMI OS only.

  • Log SAMI calls in Lofty — adds inbound and outbound call records to the lead.
  • Log SAMI SMS messages in Lofty — mirrors text conversations both directions.
  • Log SAMI notes in Lofty — copies notes SAMI writes onto the contact.
  • Log SAMI tags in Lofty — pushes tags SAMI applies in Contacts.
  • Assign Lofty lead to answering agent after answered transfer — when a SAMI Bots call is transferred and answered by an agent, that agent is assigned to the lead in Lofty.

How SAMI matches the lead

SAMI finds the right Lofty record by phone number. When activity happens on a contact, SAMI looks up the lead in Lofty whose phone matches and writes there. If no Lofty lead matches that number, SAMI skips the write-back for that activity rather than creating a duplicate.

Keep phone numbers consistent between SAMI OS and Lofty. A lead missing its number in Lofty can't be matched, so SAMI activity won't appear on it.

Disconnect Lofty

To stop logging, open the same SAMI external CRM logging panel in Settings → Integrations, select Lofty, and choose Disconnect. This clears the stored API key and the tile returns to Not connected. Your toggle choices are remembered, so reconnecting later only requires pasting a fresh key.
