Set up your bot's identity and branding

Configure the phone numbers, routing rule, and brand details a SAMI bot uses on every call and text.

The Identity section is the first stop in the bot editor. It controls which numbers a bot answers, when SAMI auto-starts it, and how she introduces herself and your business.

Open the Identity section

Head to SAMI Bots, open the bot you want to edit, and start on the Identity step. Each bot handles one lead type — a broad buyer or seller bot, or a source-specific one for a flow that needs its own script.

Configure identity and branding

  1. Assign phone numbers

Under Phone numbers, pick the numbers this bot should own. Calls and texts on those numbers will use this bot. Manage your number inventory in phone settings.

  2. Pick a routing rule

Under Routing rule, choose a Trigger rule. SAMI automatically starts this bot when a new lead matches the selected rule. Rules appear as P1 - Realtor.com Buyers (priority and name). Leave it on No routing rule if this bot should not be triggered directly by a rule. Routing rules themselves live in lead routing.

  3. Confirm the agent name

The Agent name is set once for your whole organization, so it is read-only here. This keeps every bot agreeing on what SAMI calls herself. To change it, head to organization settings.

  4. Set your brand details

In Agent & brand, fill in the Spoken company name — what SAMI says after "with" when she introduces herself. Add a Company city / market so she can reference your service area naturally.

  5. Describe your business

Write a short About your business blurb — one or two conversational sentences SAMI can use when leads ask what you do. These details are shared across every call and text this bot sends.

Use the name leads will recognize from your marketing, not your legal entity. SAMI speaks the spoken company name aloud, so "Acme Realty" sounds more natural than "Acme Realty, LLC."

Why these details matter

Leads notice when something is off. A mismatched company name or an unfamiliar market makes a call feel scripted, while accurate details keep SAMI sounding like a real member of your team.

The agent name is shared org-wide on purpose. Set it once in organization settings and every bot stays consistent — no need to repeat it per bot.

Once identity is set, move through the rest of the editor to fine-tune greetings, qualification questions, and outcomes.
