Connect a custom domain

Point your own domain at your SAMI OS agent website with automatic DNS and SSL setup.

Your agent website ships with a free yoursite.sami-os.com address, but you can put it on your own domain — like www.yourdomain.com — in a few minutes. SAMI generates the exact DNS records you need and verifies them for you.

Add your domain

Open the builder and head to the Settings tab, then the Domain section. You'll see your Default URL at the top and a field for your Custom Domain below it.

  1. Open the Domain settings

In the website builder, go to the Settings tab and find the Domain section.

  2. Enter your domain

Type your domain into the Custom Domain field (for example, www.yourdomain.com) and click Save. SAMI connects to Cloudflare and generates your records.

  3. Pick your DNS provider

Use the DNS Provider dropdown to choose where your domain is registered — Squarespace, Cloudflare, Namecheap, GoDaddy, AWS Route 53, or Google Cloud DNS. SAMI auto-detects your provider when it can and tailors the instructions to match. If yours isn't listed, choose Other / not sure.

  4. Add the DNS records

SAMI shows a numbered list of records to add at your provider — a CNAME that routes traffic, plus Cloudflare ownership and SSL verification records. Use the copy button next to each Type, Name, and Value, then create matching records in your DNS dashboard.

  5. Verify with Check now

Back in SAMI, click Check now. Each record gets a badge — "Record found", "Found but value doesn't match", or "Not found — add this record" — so you can see exactly what's still missing.

On Cloudflare, set the Proxy status to DNS only (the gray cloud) for both records. The orange cloud breaks traffic routing and prevents your SSL certificate from validating.

How verification and SSL work

After you save, your domain moves through a few stages: connecting to Cloudflare, waiting on DNS to propagate, issuing the SSL certificate, and finally active. The status card on the Domain section updates as each stage clears.

DNS usually propagates within 5–15 minutes. Once Cloudflare sees all your records, it issues the SSL certificate automatically — no extra steps and no certificate to upload — and SAMI emails you when your site goes live at https://yourdomain.com. While you wait, SAMI rechecks on its own roughly every 30 seconds, so the status advances without you clicking.

Your yoursite.sami-os.com address always keeps working, even after your custom domain goes active. It's a handy fallback to share while DNS is still propagating.

Remove a domain

To disconnect a domain, open the Domain section and click Remove Custom Domain, then confirm. SAMI detaches it and the default SAMI OS URL keeps serving your site. You can add a different domain afterward, or re-add the same one to start the setup over. If setup ever fails, the card offers a Remove and try again option.

Once your site is live, point people to it from the rest of your workspace — link it in email signatures, share it from Messages, and route new leads it captures into your Contacts and Pipeline.
