Capture leads with the registration wall
Gate your listing detail pages so visitors register before they see full property info — and become leads in your CRM.
The registration wall asks website visitors to sign up before they can see full listing details. It turns anonymous browsers into named leads in your CRM, while keeping the rest of your site open to explore.
How the registration wall works
The wall only appears on listing detail pages — the pages with full property info, photos, and pricing. Your home search, blog, and about pages stay open so visitors can browse freely before they commit.
You decide how many listings a visitor can open before the wall appears. Set Free listing views to a number like 3 to let people preview a few properties first, or to 0 to require registration before they view any listing at all. Once a visitor registers, SAMI stores a cookie in their browser and gives them unlimited access on future visits.
Every person who registers becomes a lead in your CRM with the source registration_wall, so you can tell wall sign-ups apart from valuation requests and other lead sources at a glance.
Turn on the registration wall
Open the Website manager
Go to Website. If you're working in the page builder instead, open its Settings tab — the same registration controls live there.
Go to the Registration tab
Select the Registration tab. You'll see the Registration Wall card with a toggle.
Enable the wall
Switch Registration Wall on. A field for free listing views appears below it.
Set free listing views
In Views before registration required, enter how many listings a visitor can open before the wall appears. Use a higher number to let people browse more first, or set it to
0to require registration before any listing opens.Save your settings
Click Save settings. The wall goes live on your published site right away.
Start around 3 free views. Gating too early can scare off casual browsers, while letting everyone see everything captures no leads — a few free views builds interest before you ask for contact details.
What visitors experience
When a visitor reaches the wall, they fill out a short multi-step form before the listing unlocks:
- Contact details — first name and email are required, with last name and phone optional.
- Interest — whether they're buying, selling, or both, plus a budget range and timeline.
- Search preferences — preferred location, bedrooms, and property type to refine their search.
Only the first step is required to unlock listings; visitors can skip the interest and preference steps. Everything they enter is saved to their lead record, so the buyer or seller intent, budget, and location preferences are waiting for you when you follow up.
New registrants appear on the Leads tab of the Website manager and flow into Contacts like any other lead. From there you can enroll them in a Workflow for instant follow-up or hand them to your SAMI Bots to reach out automatically.
