Reporting on deals and closed revenue
Use the Deal Insights report to track Pipeline activity, closed value, and commission over time.
The Deal Insights report turns your Pipeline into a clear picture of revenue: how many deals you're creating, how many are closing, and what they're worth. Use it to trend created versus closed deals over time and see where your commission is coming from.
Open the Deal Insights report
Go to the Deals report
Pick your date range
Choose a window with the Date range filter, from Today through All time, or set a Custom start and end. Use the Granularity control to roll the chart up by day, week, or month.
Choose the metric to chart
Set the Primary filter to the number you want to trend: Deals, Closed deals, Closed value, Upcoming deals, or Commission. Closed deals plot on their close date; everything else plots on the date the deal was created.
Read the cards, chart, and table
The metric cards summarize Deals, Closed Deals (with closed value beneath), Upcoming Deals, Commission, and Average Deal. The chart trends your Primary metric, and the breakdown table lists each deal with its stage, close date, price, and commission.
Narrow the report with filters
The Deals report can be sliced four ways so you can isolate a specific book of business:
- Pipeline — focus on one pipeline (for example, Buyers or Sellers) or leave it on All pipelines.
- User — show deals for a single agent or All users.
- Source — filter to deals that came from a specific lead source.
- Lead kind — limit to Website leads, Manual leads, or All leads.
All filters are synced to the page URL, so you can bookmark a filtered view or share the link with a teammate.
To see a clean view of money won in a period, set the Date range to that period and the Primary metric to Closed value. The chart then trends revenue by close date instead of deal count.
How currency metrics are formatted
Closed value, Commission, Average Deal, and the per-deal Price are dollar figures, formatted as whole-dollar US currency (for example, $425,000) with no cents. That same formatting carries across the report: the metric cards, the trend chart when you chart Closed value or Commission, and the currency columns in the breakdown table and the Stage Summary.
A few details worth knowing:
- Closed value sums the price of deals whose status is Closed. It also appears as the subtitle on the Closed Deals card.
- Commission totals commission across every deal in range, not just closed ones, so it reflects expected and booked income together.
- Upcoming deals counts deals with a future close date that haven't been closed, lost, archived, or deleted — a quick read on what's still in flight.
The Stage Summary table groups your Pipeline by stage and shows the count, total price, and commission for each, so you can see where value is concentrated before deals close.
