Run bulk actions on contacts

Select many contacts at once to change stage, link relationships, or start, pause, and stop SAMI Bots in one move.

When you need to update more than one contact at a time, select them in the table and act on the whole group at once. From Contacts you can change stage, link contacts with a relationship label, and start, pause, or stop a SAMI Bot enrollment.

Select the contacts you want

Each row has a checkbox on the left. Tick the contacts you want, or use the checkbox in the table header to select every contact currently loaded in the view. As soon as one is selected, a blue action bar appears at the top of the table.

  1. Open your contact list

Head to Contacts. Apply any filters or open a saved smart list first so you're acting on the right group.

  2. Check the contacts

Tick individual rows, or use the header checkbox to grab every loaded contact at once.

  3. Optionally select all matching

When you select all loaded contacts and more match your view, a banner offers "Select all matching this view." Use it to act on the full filtered set, not just the rows on screen.

  4. Run an action

In the blue bar, choose Change stage, Associate selected, Archive, or one of the SAMI Bot actions. SAMI options only appear once you have at least one bot set up.

Select-all has limits. Change stage and Archive can run against every matching contact, but SAMI Bot starts and Associate selected only work on contacts that are actually loaded into the view. If your selection includes contacts that haven't loaded yet, narrow the list, scroll to load more, or pick visible contacts before starting SAMI.

Pick Change stage to move every selected contact to a new stage, such as Nurturing or Under Contract. Large updates run in the background and finish with a summary like "Updated 240 contacts · skipped 3." Archive moves the group out of your active list the same way.

When two or more contacts are selected, Associate selected lets you type a relationship label (for example, "Spouse" or "Co-buyer") and create pair links between everyone in the group. The result tells you how many links were created, skipped because they already existed, or failed.

Start, pause, or stop SAMI Bots

You can enroll a group into a SAMI Bot straight from the table. Choose a bot from the dropdown, then use Start SAMI, Pause SAMI, or Stop SAMI.

Starting SAMI on a large group queues the calls on a drip — roughly one enrollment every few minutes during calling hours in your org timezone, so you don't blast everyone at once. SAMI OS asks you to confirm before queuing a bulk start.

Every SAMI action returns a plain-language summary so you know exactly what happened:

  • Start reports how many were queued or admitted, plus any blocked.
  • Pause reports paused, skipped, and failed counts.
  • Stop reports stopped, skipped, and failed counts.

Contacts get skipped when they have no active enrollment to pause or stop, or when a selected bot isn't eligible for bulk starts. Manage your bots and their workflows under SAMI Bots, and review live conversations in your Inbox.
