Reply to and clear Inbox items
Reply to messages, call back missed calls, complete tasks, and mark Inbox items done so they leave your feed.
Your Inbox is built to be cleared. Select any item and the detail pane shows the next action for it — reply, call back, or mark it done — so you can work straight down the feed.
Take the next action on an item
Each item type opens with its own action in the detail pane. Pick the row in the list, then act on the right.
Reply to a text message
Open an SMS item and read the latest message at the top. Use the Reply by SMS box to write your response, then choose Send reply. The reply sends to the contact's number and the conversation refreshes in place.
Call back a missed call
Open a call item to see its direction, outcome, and duration. Choose Open contact to call back to jump to the contact record in Contacts, where you can place the call.
Reply to an email
Open an email item to review the sender, subject, and preview. Choose Compose email reply to open the contact with the email composer ready in Contacts.
Complete a task
Open a task item to see its priority, due date, and next step. Choose Mark complete to finish it and remove it from your feed.
The reply box only sends when the item has a linked contact and a phone number. If you see "No contact phone available," open the contact first and add a number, then reply from there.
Mark an item done
Texts, calls, and emails each show a Mark done button at the bottom of the detail pane. Use it once you've handled the item — it disappears from the feed so what's left is always work you still owe.
Marking done is optimistic: the item leaves your Inbox immediately, before the save finishes. If the save fails, SAMI OS puts the item back where it was so nothing is silently lost. Completing a task works the same way through its Mark complete button.
SAMI suggestions are different
SAMI suggestion items don't have a Mark done button — they're recommendations, not messages to clear. Instead, open the suggestion and choose Review in SAMI AI to act on it in SAMI AI. From there you can decide whether to follow SAMI's recommendation.
Want fewer items to wade through? Use the type and time filters at the top of the list to focus on just texts, calls, emails, tasks, or today's activity.
