Log SAMI activity to Sierra Interactive

Connect Sierra Interactive and choose which SAMI calls, texts, notes, tags, and answered transfers write to the matching lead.

Connect Sierra Interactive at the organization level to copy selected SAMI activity to leads that already exist there. Sierra can remain connected alongside Lofty and Follow Up Boss; each provider keeps its own key and switches.

Connect Sierra Interactive

  1. Open external CRM logging

    Go to Settings → Integrations and select SAMI external CRM logging.

  2. Select Sierra Interactive

    Choose the Sierra Interactive tile. Lofty and Follow Up Boss can stay connected because Sierra has independent connection settings.

  3. Save the Sierra API key

    Paste your key into Sierra Interactive API key, then select Save key. SAMI stores the connection for your organization and shows only the last four characters after saving.

  4. Choose what SAMI logs

    Leave all five switches on, or turn off only the activity types you do not want written to Sierra. Each Sierra switch saves without changing Lofty or Follow Up Boss.

What each switch controls

  • Log SAMI calls in Sierra Interactive adds a note in the form SAMI inbound call --> ... or SAMI outbound call --> ....
  • Log SAMI SMS messages in Sierra Interactive adds a note in the form SAMI inbound SMS --> ... or SAMI outbound SMS --> .... It logs the message that already happened and does not send a second text.
  • Log SAMI notes in Sierra Interactive adds a note in the form SAMI Note: ....
  • Log SAMI tags in Sierra Interactive adds the newly applied SAMI tag without requesting removal of the lead's existing tags.
  • Assign Sierra Interactive lead to answering agent after answered transfer sends the answering user's SAMI OS email directly to Sierra. The same email must identify the intended Sierra agent.

The call, SMS, and SAMI note copies are created without notifying the assigned Sierra agent.

How SAMI matches the lead

SAMI converts the contact phone to the US E.164 form +1XXXXXXXXXX, then looks up an existing Sierra lead with that number. If no Sierra lead matches, SAMI skips the write-back and does not create one.

Keep the same US phone number on the SAMI OS contact and Sierra lead, and make sure an answering user's SAMI OS email identifies the intended Sierra agent before relying on answered-transfer assignment.

Disconnect Sierra Interactive

Select the Sierra Interactive tile and choose Disconnect. SAMI clears only the Sierra key and preserves its switch choices. Lofty and Follow Up Boss remain connected and keep their own settings.
