Review, publish, and go live

Run the final checks in Review & publish, clear any blocking issues, and push your SAMI Bot live.

The last step in the bot editor is Review & publish. It's where you confirm everything looks right and push the latest config to your phone numbers so new calls and texts start using it immediately.

Read the validation panel

Open your bot from SAMI Bots and go to the Review & publish step. The panel on the right sorts everything SAMI checked into two groups:

  • Blocking issues are problems that must be fixed before you can publish — a missing agent name or, for a sales bot, no outbound workflow. While any remain, the Publish button stays disabled.
  • Warnings are suggestions worth a look but don't stop you from going live.

Each item has a Fix → shortcut that jumps you straight to the section that needs attention. Make the change, and validation re-runs automatically once your edit saves, so the count updates on its own.

You can't publish while any blocking issue is open. If the button is greyed out, work down the list with the Fix shortcuts until the blocking count reaches zero.

Confirm the summary

The left column shows a read-only summary so you can sanity-check the essentials before going live:

  • Identity — the agent name, company, location, and the "about" description SAMI uses to introduce herself. Use Edit identity → to make changes.
  • Outbound workflow (sales bots only) — the workflow new leads are enrolled in for outreach. If none is selected, the bot won't auto-enroll leads, so pick one with Change workflow → if you expect it to follow up. You can build or adjust these in Workflows.

Publish and go live

  1. Clear blocking issues

Resolve every blocking issue in the panel. When the count hits zero, the Publish button becomes active.

  2. Review the summary

Double-check the Identity and Outbound workflow summaries match what you intend to ship.

  3. Publish this bot

Click Publish this bot. SAMI saves the config as a new numbered version and pushes it to the phone numbers assigned to this bot.

  4. Confirm it's live

A confirmation shows the published version number. New calls and texts use the updated config right away.

If nothing has changed since your last publish, the button stays inactive — there's no new config to push. Make an edit first, or your current version is already live.

Every publish creates a numbered version, so you always have a record of what went live and when. To compare versions or undo a change, see how to manage versions and rollback. You can confirm a bot's phone numbers under Settings → Phone.
