Get to know the website builder

A quick tour of the SAMI OS website builder — tabs, live preview, device views, undo/redo, and auto-save.

The website builder is where you shape your public agent site — pages, design, blog, and lead-capture settings, all in one visual editor. This tour shows you the layout so you know where everything lives before you start editing.

The five tabs

Open the builder from Website, then head to the builder. A narrow rail on the left holds five tabs:

  • Pages — your live, editable preview. Pick a page, add sections, and edit content in place.
  • Design — theme colors, fonts, and your shared header and footer.
  • Blog — write and publish posts that feed your site's blog sections.
  • Analytics — visitor traffic and engagement for the published site.
  • Settings — MLS provider, the listing registration wall, custom domain, tracking scripts, and reset controls.

The Pages tab is the heart of the builder. Most day-to-day editing — text, images, section order — happens right inside its live preview.

Edit in the live preview

Everything you change in the Pages tab renders instantly in the preview, so what you see is what visitors get.

  1. Pick a page

Choose a page from the Pages panel on the left of the preview. The home page loads first by default.

  2. Select a section

Click any section in the preview to select it. A highlighted outline appears with controls to move, duplicate, or delete it, plus a settings button for that section.

  3. Add a section

Use the Add Section button in the preview toolbar to insert a new block — a hero, listings grid, lead form, testimonials, and more.

  4. Check other screen sizes

Toggle the device buttons in the toolbar between Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile to confirm your layout looks right everywhere.

Undo, save, and go live

The preview toolbar gives you a safety net and a quick way to ship.

  • Undo and Redo sit at the left of the toolbar. Each page keeps its own history, so you can step backward through changes without losing work on other pages.
  • Auto-save runs in the background. There's no save button — when a "Saving…" badge appears in the top bar, your edits are being written. When it disappears, you're saved.
  • View live opens the published page in a new tab so you can see exactly what visitors see.

The back arrow in the top-left corner returns you to Website at any time. Your changes are already saved, so it's always safe to leave.

From here, dig into the deeper how-tos for each part of the builder — building pages with sections, editing content inline, and picking a starter template. You can also fine-tune lead capture under Settings.
