Checking a lead's SAMI status and pending actions

Ask SAMI where a lead stands — enrollment, current workflow step, next touchpoint, recent activity, and actions awaiting your approval.

Before you step in on a lead, it helps to know exactly what SAMI is already doing for them. You can ask SAMI in plain English to report a contact's enrollment, current workflow step, recent activity, and any actions waiting on your approval.

Check enrollment and the next touchpoint

The fastest way to audit a lead is from their own page, where SAMI already knows who you mean.

  1. Open the contact

    Go to Contacts and open the lead you want to review. SAMI picks up the page context automatically.

  2. Ask about their SAMI status

    Open SAMI and ask something like "What's SAMI doing for this contact?" or "Is this lead enrolled?" SAMI checks the workflow status and reports back.

  3. Read the result

    SAMI tells you the contact's SAMI status, whether they're marked do-not-contact, and for each active enrollment the workflow name, the current step, and what type of step is next — for example a text, an AI call, or a wait.

If SAMI reports the lead as "not enrolled," no AI outreach is scheduled for them yet. You can start it from chat — see the contact's page and ask SAMI to begin outreach.

Review the recent activity timeline

To see what has actually happened — not just what's scheduled — ask SAMI for the contact's recent activity. SAMI pulls the latest calls, texts, notes, and status changes into one list.

Try "Show me the recent activity for this lead." SAMI returns calls (direction, outcome, duration, and the AI call summary when one exists), texts with their message body, and timeline events like notes and stage changes. This is the quickest way to confirm whether SAMI's last call connected or a follow-up text actually went out.

Ask for activity right after an AI call to read the call summary without leaving chat. The summary captures what the lead said and whether they qualified.

Clear actions waiting on your approval

Some things SAMI proposes need a human yes before they run. Ask "Are there any pending actions?" and SAMI lists every agent-proposed action still awaiting approval, with the contact each one belongs to.

Review the list, then tell SAMI to go ahead or skip each one. Clearing these keeps SAMI moving and ensures nothing important is stuck waiting. You can also pair this with your Workflows and SAMI Bots to confirm the right cadence is driving each lead, and check the dashboard for a workspace-wide view of active outreach.
