Getting help from the help center with Ask SAMI
Ask SAMI how-to questions and get answers drawn straight from the SAMI OS help center, with clickable source articles.
Stuck on how something in SAMI OS works? Ask SAMI is a built-in help panel that answers your "how do I…" questions using the help center, so you don't have to dig through articles yourself.
What Ask SAMI does
Ask SAMI is a side panel that slides in from the right. You type a question about the product, and SAMI writes a short, friendly answer based only on the help center documentation. When SAMI can't find an article that covers your question, it says so and points you to support instead of guessing.
Every answer ends with a Sources section: clickable chips for the exact articles SAMI used. Click any chip to open the full article and read the complete details.
Ask SAMI only knows what's in the help center. For anything it can't answer, it will suggest you browse the help center or contact support so a person can point you in the right direction.
Ask a question
Open the Ask SAMI panel
Click the Ask SAMI trigger to open the panel. You'll see the prompt "Ask a question about SAMI OS and I'll answer from the help center."
Type your question
In the input at the bottom, type a natural question like "How do I set up a SAMI Bot?" or "How do I move a deal forward in the Pipeline?" and press Enter or hit send.
Read the streamed answer
SAMI streams its answer in as it writes. Keep the question specific and product-focused for the best match.
Open a source article
Under Sources, click any article chip to open the full help article for the complete steps and screenshots.
Ask one clear question at a time. Short, specific questions ("how do I add a teammate?") return better-matched articles than long, multi-part ones.
Ask SAMI vs. the chat assistant
These are two different tools, and knowing which to reach for saves time:
- Ask SAMI (help panel) answers questions about the product — how features work, where settings live, how to do something. It draws only from documentation and cites its sources.
- The chat assistant in SAMI Chat works with your CRM data — your contacts, your Pipeline, your messages, and your SAMI Bots. Ask it to look something up or take action on your account.
If you ask the chat assistant a how-to question, SAMI can search the help center for you and link the relevant page right in the conversation — the same documentation Ask SAMI pulls from.
