Having SAMI take action for you

Ask SAMI in plain English to create contacts and deals, send a text, move a deal stage, and log activity.

SAMI doesn't just answer questions — it can do the work, too. Tell it what you want in plain English and it creates records, sends texts, and updates your pipeline, all without you leaving the chat.

What SAMI can do for you

Ask SAMI to take action the same way you'd ask a teammate. Behind the scenes it picks the right tool for the job, so you don't have to dig through menus.

  • Create records — add a new contact or open a new deal in your Pipeline.
  • Update a contact — change its type (buyer, seller, or both), move its stage, swap its tags, or set its lead source.
  • Move a deal — push a deal to a new Pipeline stage as it progresses.
  • Stay organized — create a task, add a note, log a call, or log a text after it happens.
  • Reach out — send an SMS straight to a contact with the send_sms tool.

You can phrase requests naturally. "Create a task to follow up with Sarah tomorrow," "text Sarah that I'm running late," or "move the Johnson deal to under contract" all work — SAMI finds the right contact or deal and fills in the details.

Ask SAMI to do something

  1. Open SAMI

    Click AI Chat in the top header, or go to the full AI Chat page for more room.

  2. Describe the action in plain language

    Type what you want done — "Add Maria Lopez as a buyer lead from Zillow," "create a task to call her Friday," or "text her that the offer was accepted." You don't need to name the exact field or tool.

  3. Confirm anything sensitive

    Before it sends a text or does anything it can't easily undo, SAMI shows you what it's about to do and waits for your go-ahead. Reply to confirm or adjust.

  4. See the result

    SAMI reports back with what it changed and links you to the new record. The action also lands on the contact's activity timeline, so there's always a trail.

On a contact or deal page, you can say "this contact" or "this deal" and SAMI knows who you mean — no need to spell out the name. See the related article on page context for how this works.

Every action is on the record

Anything SAMI does is logged just like an action you took yourself. Open the contact in Contacts and the new note, logged call, sent text, or stage change appears on its activity timeline. Texts SAMI sends also show up in your Inbox, and any task it creates lands in your Tasks.

SAMI sends a real text message to the contact when you ask it to. It confirms first, but double-check the wording before you approve — once it's sent, it's sent.
