Create an appointment or task from the calendar
Add an appointment or task straight from the calendar using the New Event dialog, without leaving the page.
You can add an appointment or a task right from the Calendar without opening another page. The New Event dialog handles both, so you stay in your month view while you schedule.
Open the New Event dialog
There are two ways to start, and they both open the same dialog.
Use the New Event button
On the Calendar, click New Event in the top-right corner of the calendar card. The date field starts on the day you currently have selected, or today if none is selected.
Or add to a specific day
Click any day in the grid to open its panel on the right, then click Add to this day. The dialog opens with that day's date already filled in.
Starting from a selected day saves a step — the date is prefilled, so you only need a title and time. You can still change the date inside the dialog if you picked the wrong day.
Create an appointment
Appointment is selected by default. Use the Appointment / Task toggle at the top of the dialog to confirm you're on the right one.
Add a title and date
Enter a Title for the appointment, then set the date. If you opened the dialog from a day, the date is already filled in.
Set the start and end time
Pick a start time and end time. Both default to a one-hour block (9:00–10:00) that you can adjust.
Add a location and type
Add an optional Location, then choose a type: Showing, Open House, Listing Presentation, Buyer Consultation, Inspection, Closing, Meeting, or Other. The type controls the color the event shows on the calendar.
Link a contact and create
Choose a contact from the list, or leave it on No contact. Click Create to add it to the calendar.
Create a task
Switch the toggle to Task when you want a to-do tied to a due date instead of a timed event.
Add a title and due date
Enter a Title and set the due date. As with appointments, the date is prefilled when you start from a selected day.
Set a priority
Choose a priority: Low, Medium, High, or Urgent. Priority drives the task's color on the calendar so urgent items stand out.
Link a contact and create
Optionally attach a contact, then click Create. The task appears on its due date, where you can mark it complete from the day panel.
The Create button stays disabled until you've entered both a title and a date, so you can't accidentally save an empty event.
New events show up immediately in the month grid and in the Upcoming panel. To manage existing items or change which event types appear, use the Filter menu on the Calendar, or open your full lists under Appointments and Tasks.
