Creating and customizing pipelines and stages
Build your sales process in SAMI OS by creating pipelines and renaming, adding, or removing their stages.
Your Pipeline is where deals move from first appointment to closing. You can spin up a new pipeline in seconds and shape its stages to match exactly how your team works.
Create a new pipeline
Head to your Pipeline and use New Pipeline to add one. Every new deal pipeline starts with six ready-to-use stages so you can begin tracking deals right away.
Open your Pipeline
Go to Pipeline from the main navigation.
Click New Pipeline
Select New Pipeline in the toolbar, then type a name in the Pipeline name field.
Create it
Click Create (or press
Enter). Your pipeline appears with its default stages, ready for deals.
Each new pipeline comes with these six default stages, in order: Appointment Set, Buyer Contract, Offer Made, Pending, Closed, and Lost. Closed marks a deal as won, and Lost marks it as lost — so you can track outcomes from day one.
Creating and changing pipelines requires the manage pipelines permission. If you don't see New Pipeline or Manage Stages, ask an owner or admin to grant it from Members.
Customize your stages
Use Manage Stages to make the pipeline yours — rename stages to match your wording, add steps your team relies on, or remove ones you don't use.
Open the stage manager
On the pipeline you want to edit, click Manage Stages.
Rename a stage
Click a stage's name, type the new name, and click Save.
Add a stage
Type a name in the New stage name field at the bottom and click Add Stage. It's added to the end of the pipeline.
Delete a stage
Click the trash icon next to a stage, then confirm with Yes. Choose No to keep it.
Rename the default stages instead of starting over. Tweaking Buyer Contract to "Listing Agreement," for example, is faster than deleting and rebuilding, and your deals stay in place.
Remove a pipeline you no longer need
To delete a non-default pipeline, open it and click the trash icon in the toolbar. SAMI OS asks Delete "[pipeline name]"? right inline — choose Yes to remove it or No to cancel.
Your default pipeline can't be deleted, so it always stays available as your team's home base. Only extra pipelines you've created show a delete option.
Once your stages are set, you can drag deals between them and use filters to focus on the deals that need attention. Visit your Analytics to see how deals are flowing through each stage over time.
