Chatting with SAMI anywhere with the chat widget

Open the SAMI chat widget from any page using the AI Chat button to ask questions and run tasks without losing your place.

SAMI is always one click away. The chat widget slides in from the side of any page, so you can ask a question or hand off a task without leaving what you were working on.

Open the chat widget

The widget lives behind the AI Chat button in the top header. It's there on every page — your dashboard, Contacts, your Pipeline, anywhere.

  1. Click AI Chat in the header

Find the AI Chat button in the top navigation bar. Click it and the SAMI panel slides in from the side.

  2. Type your request

Ask SAMI anything — draft a follow-up text, find stale deals in your Pipeline, or build a nurture workflow. Press Enter to send.

  3. Close when you're done

The same button now reads Close. Click it (or the X in the panel header) to tuck the widget away. Your conversation stays put for when you come back.

SAMI sees the page you're on. Open the widget while viewing a contact or a deal and you can say "draft a check-in text for this lead" without spelling out who you mean.

Watch SAMI work in real time

When SAMI runs a task that takes a few steps — searching contacts, building a workflow, looking something up — you don't just stare at a spinner. A Thinking panel narrates what's happening, streaming SAMI's reasoning and the tools it's running as it goes.

You'll see short status lines like Searching or Looking up contact while each step runs. Once SAMI has an answer, the narration clears and the final reply takes its place.

Your conversation is saved

The widget remembers where you left off. When you reopen it, your recent messages reload automatically, so you can pick up a thread you started earlier.

After about 30 minutes of inactivity, SAMI treats the conversation as stale and clears it automatically — you'll get a clean slate the next time you open the widget.

To start over sooner, click New in the panel header (the pencil icon). That clears the current thread and history so SAMI begins fresh, with no leftover context.

Widget vs. the full chat page

The side widget is built for quick, in-context help while you keep working. When you'd rather give SAMI your full attention — longer back-and-forths, reviewing a dashboard SAMI built, or working on a wider screen — open the dedicated full-screen SAMI chat. Both share the same SAMI, so the choice is just about how much room you want.
